Dear Courthouse Patron:

The City of Clinton wishes to ensure that you have a positive experience when you visit the Sampson County Courthouse in downtown Clinton. Therefore, we would like to provide you with the following parking information.

At the bottom of this letter is a link to a map depicting all of the two-hour and free parking spaces in the downtown area. You should notice that the free all day parking spaces are located in the large parking lots on Elizabeth, Main, Vance Streets, and a portion of the Lisbon Street parking lot. All parking around the Courthouse Square is free two-hour parking. Handicapped and reserved spaces are clearly marked by pole mounted signs directly in front of the spaces.

If you are planning to be at the courthouse for only a short period of time (less than 2 hours), please feel free to use the two-hour parking on the Courthouse Square. However, if you are planning on being in the courthouse for a longer period of time (more than two hours), please take advantage of any of our four free parking lots located within a short walk of the courthouse. By following these simple guidelines, you will ensure that your experience in downtown Clinton is positive and uneventful.
